Christmas Solidarity Market Collaboration - organised by ELA Principado
Last month, the Association of ALS patients in Asturias (ELA Principado) contacted Norvil to inform us about the wonderful initiative that they organise every year in these dates, the Christmas Solidarity Market.
The proceeds from this event are used to pay for the rehabilitation costs of physiotherapy and logopedia therapy for the patients, which are not covered by the Spanish health system because they are receiving palliative treatment.
The association works to ensure that during their final years they have the best possible quality of life, and for this people the therapies are essential.
In addition, as they are 100% dependent patients, their partners in most cases are forced to stop working because they cannot pay people to care for the patient 24 hours a day, so they do not have the resources to finance the therapies themselves.
Thus, due to the situation caused by COVID, the subsidies to ONGs have decreased a lot, and they need MORE THAN EVER funds to help these people.
Since the first moment, the Norvil team thought it was a great idea and we decided to participate with a donation of products. Although our production is focused on the workwear market, some of our designs from the Inspiration, Oxigeno collections and the OUTLET section (such as coats, shirts, trousers, jackets...) could also be used as clothing. That's why we decided to start choosing the garments with a lot of enthusiasm:
- Tailoring trousers
- Vintage ladies' coats
- Men's blazers made of organic fabric
- Men's chinos
- Short sleeve women's shirts
The Mecadillo Solidario de Navidad takes place in the Caja Rural Gijón Hall from the 1st to the 30th of December. For more information you can visit the ELA website and its publication on facebook, where all the donated products are posted.
We recommend you to visit it and help with your contribution, so that this Christmas will be a little better for everyone!
